Kin Wyoming

COZY, WINTER, DREAM

A winter wildlife safari in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, designed in partnership with National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World, The Bentwood Inn, a 7-room craftsman lodge in an old growth Cottonwood forest at the edge of the Grand Teton National Park and Elk Refuge.

Our 6-day itinerary is a dream dive into one of America's most important ecosystem corridors and conservation experiments - and a historic western Western town where honky-tonk bars, a bustling alpine village and an amazing food scene have earned it titles like 'The Perfect Ski Town' and 'The New West.' Alongside being one of the most awarded destinations for environmental stewardship on the planet, it now also represents the largest income-gap of any place in America, so like all things Kin, our trip is uniquely focused on partners pioneering solutions closing the chasm, representing Latinos and underrepresented communities who are critical to the fabric of it, alongside learning from global leaders how best to serve our ecosystems.

We'll track wolves, bison, fox, bighorn sheep and thousands of elk with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris, local biologists and a Nat Geo photographer. We'll visit a brewery (or two), a distillery and a state-of-the-art vertical farm where tomatoes grow in a hydroponic jungle and a staff of differently-abled employees blast country music and define a new future. Those who ski will hit infamous Jackson Hole and Targhee Ski Resorts and those less inclined will snowshoe, cross-country or Apres-Ski the backwoods and villages.

Accommodations

Bentwood Inn is a super cozy 7-room craftsman lodge crafted of 200-year old logs from Yellowstone National Park, situated on a 3-acre property among old growth Cottonwoods and pines and just a few miles from downtown Jackson, the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park, and Teton Ski Village. It is a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World and Platinum  GreenLeader Status.

Each unique room has a way-too comfortable king bed and most have a fireplace, jacuzzi tub and views of the Teton Mountains. The living room has a roaring fireplace, piano and windows framing wildlife in the yard.

The lodge is small so it is a trip primarily for bffs and couples down to share a king bed. We do have a few twin beds so if you're solo, inquire soon to snag one. It's a perfect trip for a small group of 10 friends or more, if interest in a private group, get in touch!

HEARTY, HEALTHY, BUZZIN'

Food and Drink

From bison short-ribs with a poached egg to micro-green salads from Vertical Harvest, chef Andy Klein brings magic to the candle-lit table. We'll visit Slow Food Jackson to learn more about the seasonal fare and it's journey to our plate, and hit a few of the hotspots leading Jackson's food scene. We'll even pack a meal or two for some forest dining, and we excitedly accommodate for all dietary needs.
