Winter weather in Jackson is gorgeous. 20-30 degrees during the day and colder in the evenings. Much of our time will be spent outside so be sure you are packing warm clothes with lots of layers.

Food + Beverage

The Bentwood has built and refined a staff of true, career hospitality professionals. Meals are a mouth-watering introduction to inland and coastal African cooking traditions and modern, farm-fresh creations, largely drawn from an organic vegetable garden on property. All beverages, including cocktails, beer and wine are included.

The Kin team will send a form to gather your dietary restrictions a few weeks prior to the trip. If you are particularly hungry or require specific dietary foods / snacks, please plan to pack what you need.

Dancing

Start stretchin' it out baby.

Health and Vaccinations

As part of your package, we include a subscription to Flying Doctors Rescue Service for emergency evacuation but you will need to have your own travel insurance to cover health, transportation or trip cancellation liabilities. No specific vaccines are required if you are traveling from the US but we encourage you consulting the CDC website and your doctor if there are particular health concerns you have. Cottar's is a non-malarial area because of it's altitude and temperature but if you intend to travel to other areas, you may want to evaluate malaria risk. If you do pursue anti-malarials, Malerone is the best (Larium can have negative side effects).
